Yea-Sacc is a special strain of brewer’s yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, with a high content of live yeast cells. Live yeast cells promote digestion and use of nutrients in the whole feed ration, including power feed and roughage. Protein, fibre and macro-minerals from the feed ration in particular are better digested when yeast culture is given to the horse.
When should Yea-Sacc be used?
- For older horses with reduced feed intake
- For horses prone to intestinal problems
- For horses that have difficulties maintaining weight

- When changing feeds
- For horses prone to loose feces (such as when using haylage/ensilage)
