The horse loses salt through perspiration and if it develops loose faeces as a result of intestinal imbalance. Electrolyte is used to rapidly restore electrolyte balance. The product contains minerals and antioxidants (Vitamin E and selenium) to maintain a stable fluid- and electrolyte balance and scavenge free radicals released during training. Lack of electrolytes can results in reduced performance, fluid loss, and reduced muscle and nerve function, and other problems.
When should Electrolyte be used?
For horses being trained and/or transported in warm weather
Horses in regular to demanding training, Horses in demanding training/competition
Rationing guidelines:
Mixed into feed: 2o grams per 100 kg horse.
Mixed into water: 20grams per litre water per horse
Apportion repeated as necessary. (The enclosed measuring cup contains 100 grams)
Always provide the horse access to clean water
